Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is a fashion actor and model hailing from the United States. Alongside being a part of his Road Trip role, he also appeared in The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. The actor has also been featured in over 22 TV shows such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order and many more. Qualls has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 14 and has been fighting this disease since. Following two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. The treatment was so early that it caused a serious effect on the body, and slowed his growth. As he began to act, financial stability was the ultimate ambition. He'd experienced poverty during his youth. In the wake of living in poverty for a long time I have to be able to enjoy this financial security. Otherwise the world seems to be beyond my control. In an interview, he also reflects on his childhood. He is determined to end bullies. "Cruelty is a pain to me," he said. DJ's dream role would be to play a father figure in reel as well as in reality. Director doesn't pick him for these roles but he does say. He hopes to become father to a child.
